I was born in Hong Kong in 1968 and came to live in the UK at the age of 10.
My work is influenced by Western Artists such as Vermeer, Sargent and Stanley Spencer.
Through my painting I want to convey to others the beauty that exists in things many people would regard as the obvious and ordinary. I paint outdoor, still life and portraits.
The act of Painting for me is an exhilarating journey. I enjoy the challenge and the thinking process, as well as all the highs and lows which happens throughout the creation of my work.
The starting point of my painting is often a spontaneous decision, it is sometime just things I see and find it attractive to paint or a mere fragment of an idea crudely jotted down on a sketch book and then developed further.
My favorite media are oils and acrylics.
